Infrared Thermography

All machines and electrical equipment emit radiant energy (heat). The components emit different levels of heat determined by the amount of load, ambient temperature, condition of the component and surface properties.

Infrared technology gives the user the ability to examine the radiant heat emitted by components and evaluate their condition. Surveying the condition of components periodically allows the user to detect changes in the component, alerting them to deterioration within that component. This results in early warnings, which provides lead-time for repairs thereby eliminating negative quality, unscheduled downtimes and catastrophic failure.

What Infrared can do for you:

  • Provide early identification of adverse component condition
  • Provide certification of repairs
  • Reduce equipment failure downtime
  • Improve maintenance trouble shooting
  • Reduce maintenance PM schedules
  • Extend component life
  • Improve quality
